Morzine Avoriaz

Morzine is at an altitude of 1000 meters adjacent to the 1800 meters Avoriaz resort. It is a traditional alpine town that has really kept its original savoyard charm with wooden facades, carved balconies and slate-covered roofs.
Morzine has numerous bars and a couple of clubs to finish getting you in the mood for a good night ahead.
A wide variety of bars and pubs staying open until the early hours in the morning.

The Portes du Soleil ski area covering 650kms, two countries – France and Switzerland and 14 ski villages all linked by lift and bus system. The majority of the skiing takes place above 1600m the skiing is some of the best in Europe and because the Portes du Soleil is on the Western edge of the Alps it has a fantastic snowfall record.

There is skiing to suit all abilities, from the gentle nursery ski slopes in Morzine and Les Gets to the numerous off pistes area for the experienced skier (Swiss Wall in Le Croset and the off piste areas of the Combe du Machon and Renard bumps).

Morzine and Avoriaz have excellent facilities for snowboarders from beginners up to experts, the area includes 7 snowparks, 3 halfpipes, 4 boarder cross and miles of freeride.

If you want to take a break from skiing or snowboarding you can go for a astonishing walk throughThe Portes du Soleil by snowshoeing or cross country skiing (there are pistes in Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets). If you like speed or original adventure, try a snowmobile or Husky dog sleigh ride.
